It all starts with an idea. The images that I decide to paint usually start off as a sketch. From that sketch I creating a pinting that is filled with colors that represent a feeling in which I am trying to convey. I use the same method when painting my handbags and other merchandise. My “intern”, Charley the Labradoodle likes to stay close… just in case he’s needed:)

 

Late night is when I do the majority of my painting, whether it's on large scale canvas or multpile handbags. If I could I would paint until the sun comes up the following day...

This is an image based on the first painting I sold professionally entitled, "sixfold connection". I use it alot within my collection because it has a special place in my career as an artist. I remember feeling like I was happy to someone else admire it but I also wanted to keep it forever!
